Presentation

18-Hole Course at New Albany, Ohio, was designed by Pete Dye in the mid-Sixties. The 6646-meter, par 72 layout was constructed with help from a young Jack Nicklaus.
The 13th hole measures over 350 yards and tempts power drivers to approach a well-bunkered island green in one. Blacklick Creek, which is in play on more than half of the course, is found in the course’s drainage system.
The course is one of Dye’s first to achieve recognition, in particular owing to the way he incorporated details found on the classic courses of Scotland, such as railroad tie bulkheads. The 18-hole course was opened by Fred Jones in 1967 and is now a members-only club.
It is currently one of the most popular golf courses in the United States, with more than 1,000,000 visitors a year. It has a par of 72 and a length of 6646 meters.
The par-72 course is designed to be played in 18 holes, with a total of 18 holes.
