Overview
18-Hole CourseOpened in 2002. Design: Tom Fazio.
Technical difficulty: HardScorecardTeeParCRSlopeLengthBlue (Men)7276. 11507326 yardsPractice FacilitiesDriving Range: No development detracts from the view of the skyscrapers, which are enjoyed by a select membership of less than 400.
The challenge takes form of shifting topography, wooded areas and creative bunkering. Greens tend to undulate, and a number are sufficiently raised to punish errant shots on the approach; visitors are advised to seek and to heed the advice of the caddies.
A massive clubhouse awaits after the round with plentiful amenities and an attentive staff. The terrain is nicely varied; half a dozen holes are threaded through gorges, and there are more than half-a-dozen bridges.
The course is only a few miles from downtown Dallas, but it feels remarkably peaceful and remote, and is in fact inhabited by some Texas wildlife.
