Overview
The West Course was designed by Alister MacKenzie and opened in 1931. The East Course was created by Alex Russell and Mick Morcom in 1932.
In 1959 the West and East courses were combined to form the “Composite Course” The West Course often tops many lists of the world’s best courses, and it ranks in pretty much everyone’s top ten. For the big venues, it is the West’s twelve holes that comprise the composite course for tournament play.
The course’s ample fairways mean that the casual player is sure to have plenty of fun, and accomplished golfers are able to go after the flag from more remote and difficult quarters. The magnificent sand bunkers are situated so as to keep players of every level thinking.
The generous fairways and fast and firm conditions provide good challenges for both low and high handicap players. The Club was founded in 1891 and has been host to numerous national and international tournaments.
We have a proud reputation of providing Members and guests with a friendly, welcoming and inclusive experience.
