Overview

The 2021 Solheim Cup is headed to the renowned Inverness Club. The 18-Hole Course opened in 1903.
Donald Ross designed hundreds of courses in North America, but his in his book Golf Has Never Failed Me he only talks about seven of them. The great Scot’s layout here is a classic that features some extremely difficult greens.
The US Senior Open in 2003 and 2011 and PGA Championships in 1986 and 1993 have all been held at the club. The club was the very first establishment to open its clubhouse to real pros, where now is on display one of the club’s prize possessions, an old grandfather clock given by the pros who competed in the 1920 US Open here in thanks for the fine reception they received.
The 17th edition of the Solheim Cups will be held at InvernESS in 2021. The tournament pits the best players from the United States against the best from Europe.
The winner will be crowned the European champion. The event will take place at the Scottish resort of St Andrews.
