Overview

Pinehurst No. 2 was designed by Donald Ross in 1907.
It has hosted more U. S.
Open championships than any course in America. The course is best known for its crowned, undulating greens.
In 2014, it will become the first to host the U. N.
Women’s Open and Open Championship in the same week. The tournament will take place at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina in June and July of this year, with a prize purse of more than $1.
5 million for the top two-time winners. It will also be the first time that two major championships have been held at the same venue in consecutive weeks in the United States.
The event will be held at St. Andrews in Scotland, which will host the Women’s Open in June.
The U. K.
Open will be played at St Andrews in July and August of 2014, with the tournament taking place at Hoylake in Scotland in September and August. It is the first major to be held in both Scotland and the United Kingdom.
