Overview
The Bassin Bleu course is now a par 71 of just under 6,000 meters. Designed by architect Robert Berthet, the latter is known for being very technical. The design was in fact conceived halfway up – 300 meters – north of the Saint-Gilles ravine, which structures the landscape and which is itself an obstacle present on many holes. The course is truly different between the first 9 holes and those on the way back. The climb to the hole furthest from the Clubhouse, the 5th, is made among century-old eucalyptus trees and will require precision in your shots. The holes on the end of the outward journey, and those on the way back, will most often have a view of the ocean, unique and spectacular! Although there are fewer trees, their presence along the edge of the rough, or crossing the ravines on hole 13, will nevertheless be important elements to take into account in your game strategy. The Bassin Bleu remains a tropical golf course, often lush in the wet season, with some exceptional flamboyant trees, but very dry in the summer season. Playable all year round, Joël Bouchara and his Greenkeeping team have worked hard in recent years to make it accessible to all levels of play. It is therefore a pleasure course that is offered to you and which will not leave you indifferent.
