Walton Heath Golf Club

Walton Heath Golf Club was founded in 1903 and the initial course (Old Course) was opened for play in May 1904. The Old Course ranks in the world’s top 100 each year since the creation of the ranking in 1938.

The first nine holes of the New course (also designed by Fowler) were opened in 1907, with the full 18 holes being opened in 1913. Tournament golf has been integral to the Club’s illustrious history, most notably in the staging of the 1981 Ryder Cup and more recently the 2018 British Masters.

The two courses appear in the ranking of the 50 best courses in the United Kingdom. Winston Churchill in his youth, various ministers and the Prince of Wales have been among its most eminent members.
