It includes both left and right doglegs and, thanks to its well-planned layout, can challenge the low handicap players while not penalizing the high handicap player. It is cooled by gentle trade winds and features well-tended and manicured Bermuda grass fairways and greens.
The golf course is open exclusively to its members and their guests. The first Hawaiian Open was held there in 1928.
Since 1965 has been the prime and only venue for the official Hawaiian PGA TOUR tournament.
