Presentation

Tasmania is renowned for its untouched wilderness, pristine coastline, cool climate wines and fresh local produce. The rugged north east coast of Australia’s island state is one of the most ideal places in the world for a links golf course.
Barnbougle is now a name that represents three iconic golf courses, true golfing treasures for both the enthusiast and social golfer. Ruthless Marram Grass, wide-open fairways and exquisite hole layouts make for an unforgettable challenge.
After play the well-appointed clubhouse offers a warm welcome, with a restaurant, a bistro and an excellent wine cellar. Perhaps the best hole is the 15th, a splendid par four along an inlet next to a dune ridge.
The clubhouse sits in the midst of the course, bracketed by two loops of nine holes, which prevents any long stretch of holes into or down wind. Though, as with all the best courses, the wind can surely blow, this course is fair, with all hazards visible.
