Overview

Walton Heath Golf Club was founded in 1903 and the initial course (Old Course) was opened for play in May 1904. The Old Course has been ranked in the world Top 100 every year since the rankings were created in 1938.
The first nine holes of the New course (also designed by Fowler) were opened in 1907, with the full 18 holes being opened in 1913. Walton Heath has a history closely linked to the political and aristocratic world.
Among its most prominent members were Winston Churchill in his youth, various ministers and the Prince of Wales. Tournament golf has been integral to the Club’s illustrious history, most notably in the staging of the 1981 Ryder Cup and more recently the 2018 British Masters.
For the past 15 years, the Club has been a popular host to the only European Qualifier for the British Masters, won by Eddie Pepperell. The Club has an historic, traditional clubhouse, a reputation for fine dining and an incomparable warm welcome, Walton Heath is a Golf Club with something for everyone.
