Overview

18-Hole CourseOpened in 1899. Design: A.
W. Tillinghast.
Jackie Onassis and Meryl Streep have lived at Somerset Hills. The club hosted the Curtis Cup match in 1990.
The logo is taken from the family Coat of Arms of the Duke of Somerset in England. The golf course is over 6,600 yards off the back tees and meanders up hill and down dale, using whatever features nature put there.
The course is short by modem standards, but it is in proportion, so a good score here is something to be cherished. It is to New Jersey what the Upper East Side is to the U.
S. and is a very good place to live in and somewhere to play golf as well as play golf.
It was once a racetrack, and has hardly been touched since. It has a driving range, putting range and chipping range.
It also has a chipping green and a putting green for women and men.
