Overview
18-Hole Course opened in 1911. Bobby Jones won the US Open at Interlachen in 1930.
The bunkers were refurbished in the mid-2000s and enhanced significantly. The greens retain Donald Ross’s original design, backslanted and very fast.
The sprawling Tudor-style clubhouse offers splendid views of the grounds, and offers a variety of dining options. The club has hosted the US Senior Amateur in 1986, the Walker Cup in 1993, the Solheim Cup in 2002, and the US Women’s Open in 2008.
The 18-hole course has been designed by Donald Ross and designed by Willie Watson. The course is one of the most difficult golf courses in the world to play on a golf course with a very high level of difficulty.
The par-five 9th is the longest hole on the course, with a length of 737 yards. It was the site of the 1930 US Open, where Bobby Jones birdied the long par 5 9th to advance one step closer to the remarkable Grand Slam.
