The engine of golf in France The French Golf Federation (FFGolf) is the official body responsible for the management, promotion and development of golf in France. Founded in 1901, the FFGolf is affiliated with the European Golf Confederation and the Ryder Cup. It brings together all the regional leagues and French clubs, working to make this sport accessible to all and promote excellence across all categories of players, from amateurs to professionals. With more than 400,000 licensees and more than 700 clubs across France, FFGolf is a major player in sport in France. It also supports the Ryder Cup, one of the largest international golf events, which saw France host the 2018 edition at the Golf National de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
