Overview
Three courses are private: The Arnold Palmer Course, The Jack Nicklaus Course and The Tom Wieskopf Course. PGA West has 109 holes of championship golf course designed by five golf legends: Arnold Palmer, Tom Weiskopf, Pete Dye, Greg Norman andJack Nicklaus.
The golf course is located in the heart of the desert, on the west coast of the U. S.
state of California. The course is one of the most popular golf courses in the world, with more than 1.
5 million visitors a year. It is the home of the PGA Championship, the world’s most prestigious golf tournament, and the US PGA Tour’s flagship event.
The tournament is held every year from August to November. The PGA is the only major golf tournament in the United States that is held on the West Coast.
It was founded in 1876 and is the oldest of the four majors in the US (the other two being the Masters and the British Open).
