Overview
The Club at Carlton Woods is situated in Woodlands, an upscale suburb of Houston. The club’s first course, which opened in 2001, was designed by Jack Nicklaus, and two years later Tom Fazio designed the course that takes his name.
The fairways are wide and scenic; the greens are terraced and require careful study; and the bunkers have high banks. This is a luxury course with all the amenities at the elegant but welcoming clubhouse, from innovative training facilities to a spa and gym, while the course itself has stops for refreshments and shelter from the elements.
18-Hole Grand Lake CourseOpened in 2002Practice FacilitiesDriving Range The Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Carlton Woods opened in 2001 to rave reviews and high acclaim. The lovely property is surrounded by imposing new mansions, and the course is set among lakes and parklands.
The Nicklaus is laid out so that a round takes the players back to the clubhouse a number of times, an arrangement that facilitates short games.
