Presentation
Whirlwind Golf Club is surrounded by spectacular mountains and managed by Troon Golf, it has been home to the PGA’s Nationwide Insurance Tour, Gila River Golf Classic for five years. The two courses, Devil’s Claw and Cattail, are masterpieces developed by Gary Panks covering 500 acres.
They will impress and challenge golfers of all levels of players while maintaining a sense of fairness and playability. Both courses were created to reflect the land while the waters still flowed on the reservation by combining Cottonwood, Mesquite, Saguaro and Palo Verde trees with native grasses and rolling terrain.
These challenging golf courses stretching well over 7000 yards also features gradual elevation changes, great bunker designs with multi-tiered greens. Featuring pristine and uncluttered views of the Sierra Estrella Mountains, the courses showcase the beauty of the natural terrain.
The courses will be open to the public until the end of the season on September 28th and 29th.
