Pinehurst No. 2, No.
8 and No. 4 are consistently ranked among the world’s best.
Golf courses number 1 & 3 reflect Donald Ross’s most original Pinehurst works. Pinehurst course 6, 7 and 8 are listed separately, as they have a slightly different location.
It has served as the site of more single golf championships than any course in America. In 2014, Pinehurst will make history again, becoming the first to serve as host to the U.
S. Open and Women’s Open Championships in consecutive weeks.
It is the largest golf resort in America, with a population of more than 100,000. The resort is home to the PGA Tour, PGA Champions Tour and PGA Championship.
It also hosts the Masters, The Masters Championship and The PGA Invitational, among other events. The golf course is one of the largest in the United States, with more than 1,000 holes.
It was designed by Donald Ross, who called it “the fairest test of championship golf I have ever designed”.
